Mr. Harry Burton "Z" Zimmerle age 89, of Hendersonville, TN, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2017.

Mr. Zimmerle was born in Nashville, TN, on September 18, 1928, the son of the late Walter J. Zimmerle and Annie Marie Zimmerle. He served in the United States Navy and was the owner of Zimmerle's Texaco. Mr. Zimmerle was a longtime member of Grace Baptist Church and currently a member of Trinity Baptist where he served as deacon and sung in the choir. He enjoyed traveling and eating good food. Mr. Zimmerle loved his family above all. In addition to his parents, Mr. Zimmerle was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Ann Zimmerle, to whom he was married on June 17, 1951; two daughters, Ruth (Gary) Faulkner and Joan Zimmerle; a son, David (Connie) Zimmerle; three grandchildren, Steven Faulkner, Daniel (Lauren) Faulkner, Joel (Joanna) Zimmerle; and three great-grandchildren, Ty Faulkner, Aubrey Faulkner, and Harrison Faulkner.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, January 5, 2017, at 11:00 A.M., Hendersonville Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens with military honors.

Gathering of Family & Friends will be held Thursday from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the funeral hour at Hendersonville Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as active pallbearers: Gary Faulkner, Steven Faulkner, Daniel Faulkner, Joel Zimmerle, David Templeton, and Michael Harrell. The honorary pallbearers will be Wade Bobbitt, Jerry Marlin, Jack McMurtry, John Maynard, Bill Brewer, Greg Templeton, David Templeton, Allan Legard, Jerry Holman, Porter Mansfield, and Steve Lynch.

The family would like to give special thanks to Blessed HomeCare for over two years of excellent service.
