Mr. Harry William Garner "Bill" age 78, of Hendersonville, TN, passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2020.

Mr. Garner was born in Charlotte, NC, on May 28, 1942, the son of the late Harry Caldwell Garner and Helen Starnes Garner. He proudly served in the United States Air Force for twenty years and then later retired from the Department of Defense. Mr. Garner was the former president of the Lions Club in O'Fallon, IL and was a member of the Stukenberg-Eilermann American Legion Post 1026. He enjoyed dressing up as Santa Claus, quilting, knitting, wood working, and playing Bingo. He will be remembered most for loving his family, always being kind, and having a great sense of humor. In addition to his parents, Mr. Garner is preceded in death by three brothers, Fred, Vann, and Robert Garner.

Survivors include his wife of thirty-one years, Barbara Garner, to whom he was married on May 24, 1989; five children, Tina Elizabeth Garner (Patty), Robert Timothy Garner (Liz), Mark Anthony Garner (Jennifer), Heather Dawn Coil (Jason), and Tiffany Marie Garner; ten grandchildren, Alexandra, Ryan, Aidan, Gavin, Cheyanne, Dominic, Rhyleigh, Kennedie, Logan, and David; a great-granddaughter, Chelsea; and two brothers, Mike Garner and Robert Norman. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests memorial contributions be made to Stukenberg-Eilermann American Legion Post 1026, 600 N Bertha Street Albers, IL 62215.
