Harry Fuqua

Harry Rychen Fuqua, age 82, of Hendersonville, TN died March 29, 2023.

He was born in Donelson, TN to John Harry Fuqua and Emma Rychen Fuqua.  He is preceded in death by his parents, and sister Bettie Ann Dodson.  He is survived by his wife Carolyn Eller Fuqua, of 60 years; his son John Edward Fuqua (Tracy), daughter Jennifer Fuqua Martin (Richard); son William Harry Fuqua (Aimee); grandchildren Jack Fuqua and Abbie Fuqua.

Harry graduated from Donelson High School in 1959, and received his degree from The University of Tennessee Memphis Pharmacy School in 1963.   He was employed by Nashville Memorial Hospital for 20 years and The State of Tennessee Board of pharmacy for 10 years.   He was a 32nd degree Mason and an Al-Menah Shriner as well as long time member of the Hendersonville Evening Sertoma.

Harry was an active member of First United Methodist Church of Hendersonville and a member of the Poe-Williams Sunday School class for 45 years.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 3, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with a Memorial Service beginning at 12:00 p.m. at Hendersonville Funeral Home with Dr. Don Hutchison officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to First United Methodist Church Hendersonville in Harry’s honor.
