Harold Harry Pidde, age 74, of Hendersonville, TN, passed away on
Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at Alive Hospice in Madison, TN.
Harold Pidde was born on December 13, 1941 in Springfield, MN, to Herman and Eleanor Krueger Pidde. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Salem Lutheran Church in Comfrey, MN. Harold grew up on the farm where he learned how to work hard and play hard. He took part in 4-H and church youth group. He graduated from Comfrey Public School in 1959. After graduation, he worked for a carpenter in Springfield until he entered the Army for 2 years, where he served in the Military Police, and as a Supply Officer. After coming home from the Army, he went into carpentry again and worked for Vine Kamolz until he went into business for himself. He was on the Comfrey Fire Department and was the Mayor of Comfrey from 1981-1985. In 1985, he left MN and eventually moved to Hendersonville, TN, where he opened Harold's Cabinets Plus in 1994.
Harold is preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Eleanor Pidde; his brother, Richard Pidde; brother-in-law, Russ Herrig; and nephew, Robert Herrig.
Harold is survived by his loving wife of eight years, Patsy Pidde; children, Pam (John) Habinger, Wade Pidde, Angela (David) Calvo, and Mindy (Mitch) Currey; grandchildren, Justin Habinger, Joshua Pidde, Caleb, Morgan, Emma and Kirsten Calvo, and Hadley Currey; brother, Roger (Becky) Pidde; sisters, Helen Herrig, Marilyn Pederson; and sister-in-law, Janette Pidde. Harold is also survived by several nieces and nephews, many treasured friends, and the Men of Promise Sunday School Class of Center Point General Baptist Church.
A Life Celebration for Harold will be held at Center Point General Baptist Church, 1002 Center Point Rd. in Hendersonville, TN, on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 2:00PM. Visitation will be held Friday, July 1, 2016 from 4:00PM - 8:00PM and again on Saturday, July 2, from 11:00AM until the time of service. Honorary pallbearers will be; Wayne Hobdy, Corlett Jaggers, Bob Goodall, Eugene McEwen, Wayne Newen, Johnny Norton, Butch Norton, Don Woodard, Gary Conger, Fred Staton, and Gerald McCormick.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Harold to either Center Point General Baptist Church, 1002 Center Point Rd. in Hendersonville, TN 37075 or to the Humane Society of Sumner County, 16 Volunteer Dr, Hendersonville, TN 37075.
