Harold DeWayne McLerran, age 53, passed away on January 2, 2025. He was born on February 17, 1971 in Madison, Tennessee. Harold is preceded in death by his father-in-law, Tommy Jennings; and uncle, Jerry McLerran.
Harold is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, La Dona McLerran; children, Katie Jennings (Zachary) and Hunter McLerran; parents, Aaron and Shirley McLerran; sister, Sherry Thompson (Ted); grandchild, Jetson Jennings; mother-in-law, Fran Jennings; brother-in-law’s, Doug Taylor, Troy Jennings (Toni), and Shann Jennings (Amy); nephews, Jeremy Taylor (Andrea), Jeffrey Taylor (Callie), Austin Jennings (Katie), and Jamison Jennings (Jennifer); niece, Bailey Taylor (Briar); and great nieces and nephews, Case, Rio, Ivy, Olive, Everett, Avery, and Jax.
He was a graduate of Hunters Lane High School and furthered his studies at North Dakota State University. Harold embraced the great outdoors, finding solace and excitement through hunting, fishing, and golfing. He was most proud of his role as grandpa, cherishing every moment with Jet Jet Boone. His legacy will undoubtedly live on through the countless memories shared with family and friends.
Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 6, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at Long Hollow Baptist Church with Pastor Jeremy Rose officiating. The family will receive guests one hour prior to the funeral service. A private graveside service will be held at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Cumberland Crisis Pregnancy Center.
