Harold Ray Franklin- age 68 passed away November 21, 2016.
As a young man Harold served our country proudly in the Vietnam War. He was a man of faith and a member of the Community Church of Hendersonville. During his retirement he enjoyed his friends and co-workers while working with the Meals on Wheels Program at his church. He had a passion for riding motorcycles. He travelled all over the country but his favorite places to ride were East Tennessee and North Carolina. His most recent trip was a surprise visit to see his nephew in Louisiana. Harold didn't have pets, but he loved his backyard wildlife. He was a loving father, brother and uncle who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by parents, Willis and Mary Franklin; brothers, Doug and Terry Franklin.
He is survived by daughter, Dana Franklin; brother, Willis Franklin; sisters, Phyllis Myatt and Sue McKinnon; several nieces and nephews and extended family members also survive.
A celebration of life service will be held on Monday, November 28, 2016 at 11am at Hendersonville Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Varnado officiating. Interment will follow in Hendersonville Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 27, 2016 from 4pm-8pm and Monday from 10am-11am at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Meals on Wheels program at Community Church of Hendersonville.
