Harold Altizer

Harold Keith Altizer, 84, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2023.  Harold was born on September 16, 1938, in Cedar Bluff, Virginia to Crobie Allen Altizer and Mary Jeanette (Smith) Altizer.

Harold was a voracious reader, consuming 2-3 books per week.  His favorite authors being Stephen King, James Patterson and Tom Clancy.  He enjoyed fishing, boating, and loved baseball. Harold coached youth baseball and could be found attending his grandson’s ballgames whenever possible.  Harold was an independent loving man, whose favorite activity was being with his family, especially on the lake with his grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2023, from 12pm-2pm at Hendersonville Funeral Home.  A Memorial service will begin at 2pm in the Chapel at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The American Heart Association.
