Gretta Thompson, age 30 of Hendersonville, passed away on Wednesday, February 18th.
When talking with her family the words Happy, Strong, Content, Unconditional Love, and above all Perfect were a few words that came to mind when thinking of Gretta. She enjoyed watching Game Shows, Basketball, Football, and Disney. Gretta enjoyed traveling with her family not only because of the company but because she loved to see the trees pass by. She was best known for the influence she had on everyone on how to stay strong no matter what. Gretta is a 2007 graduate of Beech High School. The neighbors will always remember her strolls out with her grandfather. People would say "There goes Barlow pushing his girl."
Ms. Gretta was born on August 30, 1984 to Mr. Raymond and Maria Thompson. She is preceded in death by her grandfathers, Raymond Barlow and Ray Thompson and uncles, Alan Thompson and Tommy Thompson.
In addition to her parents she is survived by her brother, Kyle and Michelle Thompson; maternal grandmother, Margaret Barlow, aunt, Liz French and Cecil Horn and cousins Michael, Nicole, and Aubrey French; paternal grandmother, Edna Thompson, aunt Valerie (Rick) Stephenson and cousins Kasmine, Irica, Miranda, and Lacey.
Visitation with the family will be held on Sunday, February 22, 2015 from 2:00 until 5:00pm at Hendersonville Funeral Home. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital- 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
