As a young man he served our country proudly in the U.S. Navy during WWII. After the War he met and married the love of his life Helen Carter of the Carter Family. During his career he was a stunt pilot and he drove and flew for many country music stars as well. He was an excellent business man and even owned his own company, Tri-State Distribution, a first of its kind company. When remembering him the first thing that comes to mind is the generosity he showed to his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
