Glenda Brothers

Glenda Kay Brothers, age 74, of Madison, TN passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 in Nashville, TN. Glenda was the daughter of the late Tommy Franklin and Nellie Leota Meador Simmons.

Mrs. Brothers is survived by her husband James Brothers; son Frankie Brothers; daughter Mandy Green (Daniel); brother Gary Simmons; grandson Braxton Green; granddaughters Kalli Brothers and Gracelyn Green.

Glenda was a devoted wife to James for 57 years. She was a beautician for over 55 years. She adored her three grandchildren, was a wonderful, loving Granny and Gigi. She had a giving heart to those in need, and was a loving and selfless wife, sister, and mother to her family. She was a best friend to her brother among many others. She was a follower of Jesus Christ. She had a great sense of humor and loved the funny things in life. She had a great love for her daytime soaps and Madea movies and loved the sounds of Elvis and Bon Jovi. She was a crossword puzzle whiz. She loved spending time writing songs, poetry, and reading poetry. She was a strong woman, fighter, and a lung cancer survivor. Her joy for life and family will remain in the hearts of her loved ones forever.

Services to celebrate Glenda’s life will be held at 12pm on the afternoon of Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Hendersonville Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 4pm-8pm on the afternoon of Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Hendersonville Funeral Home and also one hour prior to the start of the service on Thursday at 11am.
