Glenda Armistead White

Glenda “Mimi” Armistead White, age 81 of, Portland, TN passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2022. She was born on September 10, 1940 and was the daughter of the late Horace and Lela Lillian Murphy Armistead.

Mrs. White was preceded in death by her husband John E. White, they were happily married for 61 years; brothers Billy, Lester, JB, and Jack Armistead.

Glenda is survived by her sons; Vic White and Johnny White; daughter in love Rachel Shirley White; sister Joanne Holland; granddaughter Carly White, all of Portland, TN. great grandchildren Lily, Zoey, and Charli McCutchen, and extended family Ashley McCutchen, Josh McCutchen, and TJ McCutchen (Janet).

Services to celebrate Glenda’s life will be at 2pm on the afternoon of Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Hendersonville Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Goodlettsville, TN. Visitation will be held from 4-8pm on the afternoon of Friday, March 4, 2022 at Hendersonville Funeral Home. A second visitation will be held one hour to the start of the service.
