Fredrick Michael Martin, of Hendersonville, Tennessee passed away on Friday, February 23rd. Fredrick was born on October 18th, 1949 to William and Louise Martin. He attended St. John’s Catholic High School in Benton Harbor Michigan, and he graduated from Western Michigan University.
He led a life dedicated to serving. He was a retired Major from the United States Army Special Forces. He was also a man dedicated to his faith and was an active Sir Knight in the Knights of Columbus and was previously involved with the Shriners International. He worked for over 25 years at Caterpillar Financial in IT before transitioning to their Business Continuations, where he was lovingly referred to as the Master of Disaster.
Fredrick was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jane Martin. He is survived by children, Angela Saxbury, Peggy Clark and Eric Martin; his grandchildren, Lilli Hudson, Matthew Saxbury, and Braeden Hawley Clark; and his siblings, Linda Martin Bowie, William Henry Martin, and David Martin.
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 29, 2024 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Hendersonville Memory Gardens Funeral Home (353 E. Main Street, Hendersonville, Tennessee 37075). The Funeral mass services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday, March 1, 2024 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church 1729 Stop 30 Road, Hendersonville, Tennessee 37075) followed by burial services at the Hendersonville Memory Gardens Funeral Home (353 E. Main Street, Hendersonville, Tennessee 37075).
