Freddy Dale "Skip" Skipworth, Sr.-age 80, passed away January 8, 2016.

Freddy worked for News Channel 5 as a photographer for 42 years. He was a man of great faith and was a faithful member of more than 30 years of at St. Joseph of Arimathea Episcopal Church. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, water skiing, and swimming. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew.

He is preceded in death by loving wife and high school sweetheart, Ruth; son, Freddy Dale Jr., and parents, Burnis and Augusta.

He is survived by son, Chris Skipworth (Melissa); grandchildren, Emily Skipworth, Dale Skipworth, Trever Skipworth (Amber), Clay Kizer, Shaunna Kizer Tidwell (Travis); 12 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, January 16,2016 at 2pm at St. Joseph of Arimathea Episcopal Church with visitation at the church held prior to the service from 12:30pm-1:30pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Alter Flowers through Brown's Florist 615-824-0857.
