Fred C. Raymond, age 83, of Hendersonville, TN, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2017, in Nashville, TN. Fred is preceded in death by his father, Ralph Ray Raymond, mother, Carrie Bell (Jones) Raymond, sister, Sarah Ann (Raymond) Morris, brother, James (Smokey) Raymond and daughter, Faith Anderson Raymond.
Fred is survived by his beloved wife, Lillian Jean (Peach) Raymond, of 60 years, children; Oliver Wayne Raymond (Mary Jane) of Hendersonville, TN, Russell Lee Raymond (Robin) of White House, TN, Gwendolyn Gail (Raymond) Stanley (Keith) of Greenbrier, TN, grandchildren; Staci Ray (Raymond) Young (Michael) of Murfreesboro, TN, Jonathan Lathaniel Ault of Hendersonville, TN, Hunter Wayne Coleman Raymond (Tiffany) of Gallatin, TN, Natalie Marie (Raymond) Martin (Ryan) of Hendersonville, TN, Adam Lee Raymond (Jessica) of Orlinda, TN, Troy Lynne Raymond of White House, TN, Howard Trent Stanley of Greenbrier, TN, Anthony Keith Stanley of Greenbrier, TN, great-grandchildren; Bryce Smith, Kassidy Smith, Landyn Smith, Andrew Oliver "Ollie" Young, Leighanna Faith "Annie" Martin and Coleman William Raymond, to be born in February. Fred is also survived by his brothers; Shirley Ray Raymond of Bardstown, KY and Robert Fulton Raymond (Evelyn June) of Lawrenceburg, KY, along with many other extended family and friends.

Fred was born on October 3, 1933 in Shelby County, KY. He was a U.S. Army veteran and retired from retail work which included; Wal-Mart, Draper Hardware and managing the hardware department at Zayre. For 17 years, he travelled the country servicing the square bubble gum machines for Waller Vending Company. Fred was an avid fan of Kentucky basketball. He never met a stranger and was a loving family man. He was a man of strong faith and served as Deacon and Sunday School teacher for many years at Faith Baptist Church in Madison, TN. Most important to Fred was his family and God. Fred will be dearly missed by his family and by all who knew him.

Life Celebration service for Fred will be held at Faith Baptist Church, 1602 N. Gallatin Rd, Madison, TN, on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 11:30AM with visitation one hour prior. First visitation will be held at Hendersonville Funeral Home on Friday, January 6, 2017 from 4pm-8pm. Burial will be held at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
