Frank Scheel Age 87, of Hendersonville passed away February 4, 2015. Mr. Scheel lived a full life, and it was his favorite story to tell. There were tales of skinning his sister's cat, fighting off a grizzly bear, and lying about his age to join the Pacific Fleet during World War II. In everything, Frank lived the American dream. He helped develop the way aluminum cans are produced worldwide, and in one day, revolutionized the production of ammunition for the Vietnam War. However, his favorite story was when he met and married his "leggy blonde" Evelyn (predeceased 2012) six weeks after meeting her. They lived and loved for 65 years.
He leaves behind their four children; Robert (Tina) Scheel, Jerry (Tracy) Scheel, Steven (Christina) Scheel, and Susan (Michael) Clark, 15 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. His stories will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
