Eunice Marie Mir - Age 93 of Hendersonville passed away January 15, 2014. Mrs. Mir was a resident of Hendersonville for the past 70 years. She was a Christian lady and a member of Hendersonville First United Methodist Church. She was very active in UMW. Eunice loved music and played the organ for many years. She also enjoyed needle work and most of all she loved her family especially her grandchildren. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be greatly missed.
Preceded in death by her husband, Cosmer P. Mir, parents, Walter J. Bunn & Eleanor Smith Bunn; sisters Wilma Meyer & Virginia Cicchetti.
Survived by son, John Mir (Donna); grandchildren, Meghan M. Vance (Neil) and Kristen D. Mir; great-grandson, Mason N. Vance; sisters, Jane Killian (Charles) of North Carolina, Barbara Csitar (Sandor) of Alabama.
A Life Celebration will be held 11am Saturday at Hendersonville Funeral Home with Bro. Ben Alexander and Dr. Charles Killian officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday 4-6pm & 10-11am Saturday at the funeral home. In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Humane Society of Sumner County.
