Ethel was a woman of deep faith. She has served and worshipped at Hendersonville First United Methodist Church since 1968. During this time she attended many conferences both local and state wide. She was also on the United Methodist Women & Predecessor Women's Society of Christian Service & Wesleyan Service Guild in several capacities including President and Missions Coordinator.
Her son Hugh lovingly describes his mother as having God's Joy in her heart, that in caring for those forgotten, Ethel's heart is pure with grace and love.
