Mr. Ernest Wayne Green age 79, of Gallatin, TN, passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2018, surrounded by his family.

Mr. Green was born in Nashville, TN, on September 25, 1938 the son of the late Henry T. Green and Annie Kathryn Archie Green. He served in the United States Navy aboard the U.S.S. Roosevelt and U.S.S. Randolph. Mr. Green enjoyed gardening, framing, going to the ocean, working with his hands, Dusty's in Panama Beach City, FL, and Grand Teton National Park. He loved his family above everything. In addition to his parents, Mr. Green was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Green; a grandson, Brandon Green; and his devoted wife of fifty-seven years, Bertha Evelyn Fitzgerald Green.

Survivors include his two sons, Danny (Patty) Green of White House and Benny (Wendy) Green of Gallatin, TN; nine grandchildren, Odell, Jerry (Ashley), Ben, Josh (Haley), Jessica, Cameron, Brandy (Dustin), Autumn (Rufus), and Dakota; seventeen great-grandchildren; a brother, Bill (Brenda) Green of Gallatin, TN; and two sisters, Maryanne Green of Gallatin and Judy Roberts of Carthage, TN.

A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, August 29, 2018, at noon, Hendersonville Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.

Gathering of Family & Friends will be held Tuesday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Hendersonville Funeral Home.
