Emma Jean Dye, age 67, of Hendersonville passed away September 30, 2014.
Mrs. Dye was a graduate of Cumberland High Class of 1964 in Nashville, also a longtime member of First Baptist Church and a member of The Fred Bracey Sunday School Class. She was a retiree from The Hendersonville Arts Council after many years of service.
Preceded in death by her father, Willie Tilman Herrod. Survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Lawrence Dye; sons, Franklin Timothy Dye (Katrina) & Kevin Dye (Jennifer); granddaughters, Elizabeth, Alison & Madalyn; mother, Eula Mai Nipper Herrod; aunts, Sue Boyd and Lyda Boyd.
A Life Celebration will be held 11am Friday at Hendersonville Funeral Home with Richard Gaia officiating. Burial to follow in Hendersonville Memory Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be 4:00pm - 8:00pm Thursday at funeral home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Fred Bracey Sunday School Class at First Baptist.
