Elbert Lee Ashworth - Age 79, of Hendersonville, TN passed away June 29, 2015.

Mr. Ashworth is best described as a godly, devoted, fun loving, & enthusiastic man that could always see the best of everything. He was also a true patriot to his country serving in the United States Army. Mr. Ashworth was a member and deacon of Hendersonville Church of Christ for many years. He enjoyed watching and cheering on the Vols and Reds, golfing and most of all spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents, sister, Virginia Jones; brothers, Bobby, Billy and Charles. Survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Katherine "Katie" Ashworth; daughters, Lisa Craig & Kristi McGimsey (Chris); granddaughters, Chelsea Craig, Paige DeLozier (Garrett), Anna Kate McGimsey, Ava McGimsey; brothers, Harold Ashworth (Judy), Donnie Ashworth, Richard Ashworth (Brenda); several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

A Life Celebration will be held 11am Thursday July 2nd at Hendersonville Church of Christ with Pastor Keith Parker officiating. Burial to follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 4:00pm - 8:00pm Wednesday at funeral home and 10:00am - 11:00am Thursday at church.
