Edwin Francis Davoren, age 86, passed away on July 16, 2023 in Hendersonville, Tennessee. He was born on May 28, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Alice and Thomas Davoren. Edwin is also preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Joy Davoren; wife, Meyhra Davoren; daughter, Dale Vincent; brother, Jim Davoren; sisters, Pat Hapke and Betty Feipel; and son-in-law, Rick Barber.
Edwin is survived by his children, Susan Resler, Merry Barber, Thomas Davoren, and Robert Davoren; grandchildren, Andrea Moon (David), Colleen Nicholls (C.J.), Phillip Resler, Michael Resler, Jason Barber (Kristy), and Tara Vincent (Ryan); great-grandchildren, Robert Parsons, Sean Parsons, Riley Parsons, Anthony Clark, and Brianna Barber; brother, Tom Davoren; sister, Lillian Tomko (Chuck); and son-in-law, Steve Vincent.
Edwin proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. Edwin was a police officer in Sauk Village, Illinois and then later retired with UPS in Tennessee. He was affectionately known by neighbors as the Mayor of Forest Harbor Drive.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 21, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. with Funeral Service immediately following visitation at Hendersonville Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
