Mr. Edward "Eddie" Warner Mitchell age 83, of Hendersonville, TN, passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2017.

Mr. Mitchell was born in Nashville, TN, on April 16, 1934, the son of the late Sterling Mitchell and Bonnie Warner Mitchell. He retired from Exxon after thirty-two years of service and was a member of Hendersonville Church of Christ. Mr. Mitchell was a stock car driver for Nashville Speedway and was honored to be in the Hall of Fame. He will be remembered as "Mr. Personality". In addition to his parents, Mr. Mitchell was preceded in death by a son, Edward "Buddy" Mitchell, Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Hilda Mitchell; four children, Carol Germer (Dave), Connie Brownlee (James), Christy York (Todd), and Michael "Mike" (Terresa) Mitchell; eleven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, December 16, 2017, at 10:00 A.M., Hendersonville Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in Hendersonville Memory Gardens.

Gathering of Family & Friends will be held Friday from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Hendersonville Funeral Home.
