Mr. Edgar Lee Brinkley age 91, of Hendersonville, TN, passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2019, at NHC Place Sumner in Gallatin, TN.

He served in the United States Navy during World War II at the age of seventeen and retired from Reichhold Chemicals after twenty-eight years of service. Mr. Brinkley enjoyed old movies, racing, and sports. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lois Brinkley (Butler) of 67 years; parents, Earnest Woodson Brinkley and Oma Smith Brinkley Duncan; sisters, Corrine Caldwell, Agnes Roberts, and Lou Williams; and a brother, George Brinkley.

Survived by his two children, Kenneth Brinkley, Sr.; daughter, Karen Brons (Gary); five grandchildren, Kenneth Brinkley, Jr. (Mallory), Scott Brinkley (Elisa), Brandy Brinkley (Brent Wilder), Mitch Brons, and Hunter Brons; five great-grandchildren, Megan Brinkley, Meredith Brinkley, Mollie Brinkley, Chase Brinkley, and Reece Brinkley; and four great-grand dogs, Meng, Boo, Fifi, and Carly.

A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, April 4, 2019, at 10:00 A.M., Hendersonville Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens with military honors.

Gathering of Family & Friends will be held Wednesday from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and Thursday from 9:00 A.M. until the funeral hour at Hendersonville Funeral Home.
