Dwayne Wright, age 59, of Castalian Springs, TN passed away on Saturday, March 20, 2021 in Gallatin, TN.
Dwayne was born on January 28,1962 in Madison, TN. Captain Wright is survived by his father Murray Dorris Roberson; sister Sandra Faye Wright; brothers Charles Michael Wright (Julie) and Johnny Roberson (Barbara); nieces Audrey Kathleen Sommers, Christina Vaughn Roberson and Rebecca Paige Roberson; nephews Blythe Michael Wright and Jonathan Dwayne Wright. Captain Wright is also survived by his law enforcement brothers and sisters. Captain Wright was preceded in death by his mother Minnie Ruth Cook and his grandparents Charles C. and Kathleen Cook.

Services to celebrate Captain Wright's life will be held at 10am on the morning of Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at Long Hollow Baptist Church in Hendersonville, TN with Jerry Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Hendersonville Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held from 3pm-8pm on the afternoon of Tuesday, March 23,2021 at Hendersonville Funeral Home.

Dwayne was a loving son, brother and uncle. He was a true friend. He served Sumner County for 35 years as a deputy with the Sumner County Sheriff's Department. He retired as a captain in October 2020. Dwayne devoted his life to law enforcement, but he loved to bring humor to every situation. He will be greatly missed.
