Dr. Richard "Dan" Roth, DDS, MBA

Dr. Richard “Dan” Roth, of Gallatin, TN peacefully passed away on Friday, March 29, 2025.

Dan was born on December 27 in Albany, GA to the late Richard Allen Roth and Carol Lanier Roth.

He was preceded in death by his father Richard Allen Roth and mother Carol Lanier Roth.

He is survived by his wife Henrietta Roth, 5 children Rick (Allie) Roth of San Jose, CA, Anna Strobel of Kansas City, MO, Blake (Katie) Roth of Hendersonville, TN, Brent (Kirsten) Roth of Gallatin, TN, Lauren Douglas of Brentwood, TN and 1 Stepson Eric (Allison) Johnson of Gallatin, TN, 14 grandchildren Jack Roth, Adelyn Roth, Macy Strobel, Peyton Strobel, Jude Roth, Max Roth, Bryce Roth, Isaac Roth, Sage Roth, Vivian Douglas, Kelsey Roth, Brodie Douglas, Riley Johnson, and Seb Roth, a brother Bob (Marcia) Roth of Lincoln, NE, 1 sister Peggy McCune of Omaha, NE and a host of nieces and nephews.

Dan lived a life dedicated to improving the lives of those around him. After serving in the U.S. Army, Dan served for 38 years at the Veterans Administration, Tennessee Valley Healthcare System, serving and providing care to veterans as a staff dentist, then the Chief of the Dental Service, then Deputy Chief Medical Officer for six medical centers, and ultimately retiring as the Deputy Chief of Staff of Ambulatory Care Services. Outside of work, Dan devoted his time to his family and community, coaching youth sports, playing a central role in the growth of the Hendersonville Soccer League and Hendersonville Fever (n/k/a Tennessee United), and growing soccer more broadly in Tennessee while serving as the president of the Tennessee State Soccer Association. Later in life, Dan loved playing golf, working in the yard, and spending time with family. Family and Friends will remember his brilliant mind, his humor, and his passion for his family.

Visitation will be held on April 7, 2025 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, Service will be held April 8, 2025 at 2:00pm at the Hendersonville Memory Gardens Chapel (353 E. Main Street, Hendersonville TN 37075)
