Doyle Mae Burks, age 88, passed away on Monday, August 27, 2018 in Lexington, KY. Until the last 3 years she resided in Hendersonville, TN. She was born to the late Dortha and Lorene Miller in Lafayette, TN on December 20, 1929.

She was married to the late Ozle Burks for over 30 years until his death. She was a homemaker and active in her church activities at Hendersonville Free Will Baptist Church for many years. She is survived by her two children; daughter, Beverly (Richard) Burks-Kent of Lexington, KY and son, Mark (Patti) Burks of Atlanta, GA.

The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her in later years, especially her friends and neighbors who's help allowed her to stay at her home as long as possible, and the caring staff and friends at the Willows at Citation in Lexington, KY.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 30th at Hendersonville Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until funeral time. Interment will follow services in the Garden of the Cross at Hendersonville Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to Hendersonville Free Will Baptist Church 179 New Shackle Island Road, Hendersonville, TN 37075 or the charity of your choice.
