Dorothy Bush Dot Parker was born February 21, 1926, to W.T. and Mary Bush of Dearborn, Michigan. She graduated from Fordson High School in Michigan. She was preceded in death by both parents and only brother William T "Bill" Bush, Jr. Dot Parker loved the Lord. She was active in Valley View Baptist Church in Nashville, Tennessee, for a number of years. She was active in vacation bible school, her ladies Sunday school class, and the women's quilting club. Dot enjoyed cooking, sewing, and gardening. She was a Brownie Scout leader, Cub Scout leader, and a supporter of the community baseball; basketball; and football teams of which her children participated. After having furthered her education, Dot Parker served as cafeteria manager at Metro Davidson County School System. She retired from Rosebank Elementary School at age 70. She is survived by her children Glenn I. Parker, Cheryl L. Dismukes John, Terry W. Parker Anna, Paul W. Parker, Sandra G. Parker David Jones, Melvin Lee Parker, Carl A. Parker Beth; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family offers a special appreciation to Dr. A. Sid King and High Point Hospice.
