Dorothy W. Faulkner age 85 of Hendersonville TN passed away on Friday, January 10, 2020. Funeral services for Dorothy will be held on Thursday, January 16 at 2:00 pm from the chapel of Hendersonville Funeral Home with committal services to follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home prior to the service on Thursday, January 16 from 12:00 noon until service time at 2:00 pm. Rev. Jeremy Squires will officiate the service.

Dorothy loved to garden and cook, and to be with her family. She was a long-time member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Hendersonville, TN. She retired in 1993 from Oscar Mayer (now Kraft Heinz) in Goodlettsville, and previously worked in retail at Chester's department store in Madison, as well as sewed clothes for some country music artists and their spouses.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband G.C. Faulkner, who died in 2007, her parents Joseph Benjamin and Louella Brown Augustin, as well as 8 sisters and 2 brothers.

She is survived by her son Jerry (Susan) Faulkner and son Gary (Elizabeth) Faulkner; Grandchildren Alexander (Kalie) Faulkner, Andrew (Jess) Faulkner, Adam Faulkner, Dillon Faulkner, and Kelsey Faulkner; Great-grandson Xander Faulkner; Brother Louis "Tip" (Wanda) Augustin and Brother Ben (Martha) Augustin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made in Dorothy's honor to:
Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 105 Westpark Dr. Brentwood, TN 37027; or
Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, 525 New Shackle Island Rd. Hendersonville, TN 37075
