Dorothea Bates

Dorothea Bates-age 94 of Hendersonville passed away February 16, 2015. She was a woman of faith that loved the Lord. She was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church of Hendersonville. Dorothea was also a member of Bluegrass Country Club and an avid golfer.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James Bates, Jr. and daughter, Ginny Bates.
She is survived by her daughters, Margaret Flatt and Cathy Hill; son, Tommy (Cheryl) Bates; grandchildren, Susan (Kevin) Page, Amy (Randy) Rose, Michael Warren, and Grace Ann (Scott) Holbert; great-grandchildren, T.J. Bates, Jennifer Bates, Sydney Page, Alayna, Lilly Kate, and Garrett Holbert.
