Doris Jean Krisle Shoulders, age 91, passed away April 6, 2017. Doris is preceded in death by her husband, Brigadier General Billy Joe Shoulders; parents, Susie Viola Williams and Fred Wilson Krisle; brothers James Allan Krisle and Joe Richard Krisle. She is survived by her daughter Suzanne Shoulders (James) Algeo; her granddaughter Heather Jean (Robby) McFarland; her sister Sue Joyce Hunter; her brother John Rayburn Krisle along with nieces, nephews, and her beloved dog, Adi.

Doris was a RN (surgical nurse) for 15 years at Baptist Hospital in Nashville, after which she lived an active life devoted to God, family and friends. She was a member of Hendersonville First Baptist Church for 57 years and considered her Sunday School friends her family of the heart. She loved to travel, read, work puzzles, and never said no to a good card game.

We would like to thank family and friends who have been so kind and loving with prayers and other acts of kindness. Visitation will be held Friday, April 14, 2017 from 10:00am to 11:00am at the Hendersonville First Baptist Church Chapel. Life celebration service will follow from 11:00am to 12:00pm. Burial will follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
