SCARBROUGH, Donna M. Age 76 of Shelbyville, a successful businesswoman in Smyrna for more than 30 years, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2011 at Alive Hospice in Nashville after an extended illness. Ms. Scarbrough was born in Elgin, Iowa, on September 14 1935, to a farm family and spent her life as an entrepreneur in the agriculture industry for most of her life. She was the founder and owner of Smyrna Processing Company in Smyrna. Preceded in death by her husband, Robert N. Scarbrough. Survived by her daughters, Susan A. Kautzman Kenneth of Missouri, Valeri Oliver Joseph Austin of Hilham, Tennessee and Sharyl Barnes Larry of Shelbyville, Tennessee; son, Michael A. Oliver of Monterey, Tennessee; 3 granddaughters; 2 grandsons; 1 great-grandson.
