Donald “Don” Wayne Faulk

Gallatin, TN – Donald “Don” Wayne Faulk beloved husband of Joan and loving father of Donald “Chip” Wayne Faulk, Jr., Judith Milane “Jodi” Faulk-Mankin (Tim) and Brandon Christopher Faulk passed away peacefully at Hendersonville Hospital on July 5, 2023.

Don was born in Shelbyville, TN on October 22, 1938.  He was the son of Marie Sudberry.

He attended Columbia Military Academy and Middle Tennessee State University where he received a degree in Economics and Business.

Recognized as an outstanding athlete, he was twice voted captain of the Blue Raider football team and helped lead the team to two Tangerine (Citrus) Bowls.  He was offered a professional baseball contract with the Detroit Tigers but declined to further pursue his education.

Don was an exemplary representative for Jostens scholastic products and served as an ambassador for the company.  Don had a charitable heart, and many times would help a student who could not afford graduation supplies by providing them at his own expense.

He loved NASCAR racing and Tennessee Titans football, and baseball.  He had a great love for animals especially his two papillons Max and Jacques.

The family held a private service at Hendersonville Memorial Gardens on, July 12, 2023, to honor the life and legacy of this great man.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
