The very beloved Donald Sterling Aaser, 89, passed away Monday, November 13th, 2017 following a 13 year battle with Alzheimer's disease.

He leaves behind his wife, Shirley (Felts) Aaser; his daughter, Dawn Aaser Peterson; his son in law Sean Peterson; his future granddaughter, Pierce Sterling Peterson (due in February); his step daughters Suzanne Moise, Lori Stensloff, Deborah Kinzer; his step grandchildren William Hentz and Kayla Kinzer; his sister Joy (Aaser) Baken; and will be missed by ALL who have met him.

Don was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota and was lovingly adopted by Joseph Aaser and Helga (Samson) Aaser to live in McVille, North Dakota.
After serving in the Air Force from 1948-1952, he pursued and obtained an engineering degree from Georgia Tech University.
He spent most of his successful career as a Manufacturer's Rep and owner of DSA Inc. In his retirement, he worked at Opryland Hotel and John Paul II High School.
Don was extremely charismatic and had a passion for people and animals. He was fiercely loyal to the love of his life, Shirley, and was the most devoted father to his daughter, Dawn. He was well known and loved by all of the dogs in his neighborhood.

The services honoring Don Aaser will be held at the Hendersonville Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Saturday, November 18th. A visitation will be held from 10am-12pm with a funeral service to follow directly after.

Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Humane Society to honor Don.
