Dixie J. Clark, age 99 of Nashville, passed away on Monday, August 20, 2018. Preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Beasley Clark, parents, A.B. and Delsie (Adams) Johnson, grandson, Andy Richardson along with 4 brothers and 5 sisters. Survived by her daughter, Suellen Richardson (Sonny), granddaughter, Blake Leyers (Craig), great-grandchildren, Rachel, Eric and Colin Leyers, sister, Marie Walker, and other extended family and friends.

Dixie was born on May 1, 1919 in Robertson County, Tennessee. She was a retired R.N. and a United States Army Veteran. Dixie served in the Army nurse corps as a 1st Lieutenant during WWII in England. Dixie was a longtime member of Inglewood Baptist Church.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Hendersonville Funeral Home on Friday, August 24th at 12:00pm, officiated by Dr. Kevin Shrum and Reverend Jim Mathews. Burial will follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens with Military Honors. Visitation for family and friends will begin at 10:00am. Dixie's nephews will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Dixie's name to Inglewood Baptist Church, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or to a charity of choice.
