Dewayne Stover, age 59, passed away at Vanderbilt Medical Center on Wednesday, September 13, 2017. A native of Davidson County, Dewayne was born on April 2, 1958 to Henry and Betty (Robbins) Stover.
Dewayne was a graduate of Madison High School, class of 1976, and also attended The Tennessee Technological Center at Nashville State. Dewayne was an original founder and business co-owner for over 40 years of Stover and Sons Contractors, Inc. Dewayne loved the outdoors, Vanderbilt football, God, and his family. He enjoyed spending his leisurely time golfing, camping, fishing, bowling, and tailgating for his favorite football team. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Hendersonville, Madison Chamber of Commerce, and Foxland Harbor Country Club.
In addition to his parents, Dewayne is survived by his wife of 36 years, Rosemary (Webster) Stover, Children: Rachel and Ryan (Andrea) Stover, Grandchildren: Brice and Blair Lumpkins, Abigail and Amelia Stover, Brother: Donnie (Renee) Stover, Sister: Debbie Stover Denny (Kevin), three nephews and 2 nieces. Dewayne was a beloved member of his community and loved by many.
Visitation will be on Saturday, September 16th from 2:00-4:00pm at Hendersonville Funeral Home. On Sunday, September 17th, visitation will be from 2:00-3:00pm at First Baptist Church in Hendersonville at 106 Bluegrass Commons Blvd, followed by service at 3:00pm.
