Debbie Murray- age 63 of Hendersonville, TN passed away July 19, 2015. She was born in DeKalb, IL on July 16, 1952.
She was a graduate of Norte Dame High School in DeKalb, IL. While living in Miami, Debbie worked for Florida Power & Light as an Assistant Engineer and taught hurricane recovery after hurricane Andrew. She continued her love for teaching after she moved to Hendersonville, substituting at Hendersonville High School.
She was woman of faith and a devoted member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church.
When remembering Debbie the words reserved, selfless, giving, family, and caring for her home come to mind first. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She touched the lives of many and will be missed deeply.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Margaret Hammett; brothers, Stuart and Donald Hammett and sister, Susan McCarthy.
She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Michael Murray; son, James (Tonya) Murray; grandchildren, Abrianna and Bryson; sister, Linda (Chuck) Piske; sister-in-laws, Maureen (Arnold) Haskey and Kathy (Tom) Welby.

Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday July 22, 2015 at 12pm at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Father Eric Fowlkes as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Hendersonville Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held on Tuesday July 21, 2015 from 5-8pm at the Church with a Rosary at 7pm. Visitation will also be held on Wednesday one hour prior to the service at the church.
