Dayna Kay Cook of Hendersonville, passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at the age of 50. Preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Clarence and Mary Ruth Johnson, paternal grandparents, Damon and Cecelia Sergerson, and aunt, Marsha Arnold Phillips. Survived by her husband of 20 years, Gary Cook, sons, Jonathan Ryan Cook and Colin Reece Cook, brother, David B. Sergerson and sisters Dawn Black and Deana Mangold (Rick). Dayna is also survived by her parents, David & Freida Sergerson along with a number of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, many extended family and friends and last but not least, Smokey the cat.

Dayna was born on August 20, 1968 in Union City, TN. She moved to Hendersonville in 1991 and has since worked in healthcare billing as an Accounts Receivable Manager with Citadel Healthcare. Dayna spent her time raising her children and attending their sporting events and activities. She enjoyed classic rock and country music. Her special talent was moonwalking. Dayna was a great wife, mother, daughter and sister. She was a great friend and was always willing to help someone in need and had a spirit lifting smile.

A Celebration of Life Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church on Wednesday, November 21st at 1:00PM. Visitation will begin at 11:00AM.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Dayna's name can be made to the Sarah Cannon Cancer Center, 2300 Patterson St, Nashville, TN 37203 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. www.stjude.org.
