David was an avid sports enthusiast but was a super fan of the University of Dayton Flyers Basketball Team (GO FLYERS!) and the Cincinnati Reds. David also supported the Vanderbilt Commodores, Tennessee Titans and the Nashville Predators. David enjoyed playing board games with his family during the holidays. He was known for his great skills of playing the game of Monopoly where he would almost drive his family crazy adding up and counting his winnings - he never lost. Over the last several years, Dave and his brother Lew began taking annual weeklong vacations together to visit all the lower 48 states. These week-long trips involved travelling over 2,000 miles in one week mostly on back roads and highways. They enjoyed seeing the sites, visiting distant relatives, getting misplaced numerous time (but never lost!!) enjoying new foodie adventures (they were always searching for the perfect fried oysters) and sharing lots of laughs. Some of their travels included visiting the Capital of God's Green Earth - Eastern Kentucky, travelling on Route 66, Arizona, California, Virginia, Texas, Oklahoma, and riding the train into the Grand Canyon. These expeditions resulted in so many memories that will be forever cherished. Dave was a member of the Fire Place Fellowship Church where he was an active member of the media team. He was employed at Salem Music Network as a Syndication Consultant.
A Celebration of Life service is planned for Saturday, September 30,2017 at 5PM CST at the Fire Place Fellowship Church, 403 Walton Ferry Road, Hendersonville TN 37075, Pastor Robb Tripp officiating.
