David Camp, 81, of Hendersonville, TN passed away on March 8, 2023, with Alzheimer’s. He was preceded in death by his wife Jean Lynn Camp, parents William Camp and Catherine Stockwell Camp, daughter Wanda Spain and sister Mary Camp Juba. He is survived by his daughters Sarah (Jeff) Perkins of Casco, Maine, Debbie (Cory) Upchurch of Cottontown, TN, and son Jimmy (Janet) Camp of Orlinda, TN; along with 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family and friends.
David grew up in Hamden, CT and spent summers at the shore in Madison, CT. He was a Life Scout in Boy Scouts of America, graduated from Hamden High School, attended Quinnipiac College, and served in the National Guard.
During his school years, he wrote poems, and was on the swim team. His lifelong career as a saleman covered many fields, including Real Estate, Insurance, Ink Pens, Vending Machines, and Pest Control. David’s favorite hobby was watching TV!! Everyone loved his silly sense of humor and funny sayins, and the Slight-of-Hand Magic Tricks.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 12, 2023, from 2pm-6pm and also on Monday, March 13, 2023, from 10am-12pm at Hendersonville Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 12pm in the Chapel at Hendersonville Funeral Home with entombment to follow in the Mausoleum at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
