David L. Berglund, 74, of Gallatin, TN, passed away Sunday, June 18, 2017. Born in Chicago, IL, September 30, 1942, he was the son of the late Harry C. Berglund and Viola M. Johnson. He was raised and educated in Chicago graduating from Steinmetz High School. Dave was a retired insurance agent for many years. His career path started out in quite a different direction. Early on he was a horse trainer for harness racing and later he was a store manager for Polk Brothers department store in Chicago. On October 5th, 1969, he married the love of his life, Angie (Buelow) Berglund. They moved to Naples in 1982 and in 2014 they moved to Gallatin, TN to be near their children and family. Dave was a die-hard Chicago Cubs fan and truly relished their World Series victory. He enjoyed going to games with his son whenever possible and was looking forward to this season. He loved a good joke and was known for his good sense of humor. Family and spending time with his immediate and extended family was of the utmost importance to Dave. Dave is survived by his wife, Angie; his son Andy Berglund; his daughter, Nina and her husband Kevin Fedie and their son Alex; his sister, Dorie Peterson; his sister-in-law, Joann and her husband David Weaver; and nieces and nephews. A service in celebration of Dave's life will be held Saturday, June 24th at 1:00 pm at St. Timothy's Lutheran Church, 650 E. Main Street, Hendersonville, TN followed by burial at Hendersonville Memory Gardens. His arrangements have been entrusted to Hendersonville Funeral Home.
