Mr. Daniel T. Leech went home to be with his Lord and Savior on February 13, 2018 at the age of 93 years, with enormous joy in his soul. Dan was born December 25, 1924, a perfect Christmas present to the late George and Mabel (Green) Leech. Dan proudly served in the United States Air Force during the WWII era and went on to join his father and eventually take over the family construction business as a General Contractor until his retirement in 1989. In his spare time, Dan enjoyed Golf and was a TN Vols fan for life! His other passion was flying; he owned his own airplane until it was destroyed by a large storm, but was able to take flight the last time on his 90th birthday. Above all else, Dan was an incredible Christian with unwavering faith who loved his church, his family and his God. Dan was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Sara Leech, whom he loved and adored as much after 66 years as he did the day they were married. Surviving are his 3 daughters, Becky (Butch) Duke, Barbara (Eric) Barnhart and Maribeth (Butch) Burns; grandchildren, Rachel (Tate) Walker, Anna (Dennis) Phillips, Zachary Creasman, Evan (Addy) Creasman, Molly (John) O'Connor and Caroline (Drew) Bailey; great-grandchildren, Chance and Emma Hardcastle, Sadie and Sawyer Phillips, Jack O'Connor, Hudson and Adeline Bailey; sister, Ann Luna. Family will receive friends on Sunday, February 18, 2018 from 5-8pm at Hendersonville Funeral Home (353 E. Main St; Hendersonville, TN 37075) and again on Monday, February 19, 2018 from 10-11am, where funeral services will follow at 11:00am. Interment following the service at Hendersonville Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Mercy Multiplied (www. mercymultiplied.com) or to the American Diabetes Association.
