Daniel Brown

Daniel D. Brown, 70, passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2023, with his family by his side.  Daniel was born on March 22, 1953, in Statesville, North Carolina to David Leon Brown, Jr. and Mafielda (Smith) Brown.

Dan taught history and loved touring different battlefields throughout the country.  During his teaching career, Daniel coached girls basketball and volleyball and loved following the Hendersonville High School football team.

Daniel is preceded in death by his parents David and Mafielda and his brother Thomas Newton Brown.  He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years Nancy Brown; son Uri Brown; sisters in law Deborah Newman and Amy Alford; nieces Kendall and Amber; nephews Clay and Aiden along with numerous other extended family.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 7, 2023, from 10am-11am at Hendersonville Funeral Home.  A graveside service will begin at 11am at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
