Mr. Dan Cole Ratcliff age 77, of Hendersonville, TN, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2020.
Mr. Ratcliff was born in Nashville, TN, on July 27, 1942, the son of the late Harold Ratcliff and Morene Cole Ratcliff. He grew up in Meadow Creek, West Virginia and graduated from Sandstone High School in 1960. He served proudly in the United States Air Force. Mr. Ratcliff retired after thirty-five years of service from American Airlines in New York and Nashville. He was a parishioner at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus and very involved with church activities. He loved being with his family and was fascinated with trains. In addition to his parents, Mr. Ratcliff is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Sharon Ratcliff; a brother, Walter Ratcliff; and two sisters, Nancy Sherwood and Lillian Krailo.
Survivors include his four children, Kelly Ratcliff, John Ratcliff (Carey), Dan Ratcliff, Jr. (Stefania), and David Ratcliff (Joslyn); six grandchildren, Noah, John, Charlie, Dorothy, Mary, and Kelly Ratcliff; and a sister, Janice Shotts (Howard). Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A private interment service will be held at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church once the pandemic subsides.
