Corinne Virginia Grewcock

Corinne Blockley Grewcock passed away peacefully at home on October 24, 2023 at age 92. She was a loving wife, mom, nana, great nana, sister, and friend.

She was born in Leicester, England on December 25, 1930 to Elsie Gutteridge Blockley and John Edwin Blockley. She was the oldest of their 11 children. Corinne married her late husband, John Grewcock in 1952 and together they had two daughters, Christine and Jacqueline.

In 1963 the family of 4 moved to the United States in hopes of more opportunities for their family, which they undoubtedly achieved. After years of moving to a few different states, the family settled in Americus, GA for over 30 years before moving to the Nashville, TN area 3 years ago.

Nana loved to talk to and care for everyone she encountered. To know her was to love her. She took pride in her garden of beautiful flowers, her family, and capturing memories with them. She made an impact on all she came into contact with and will be greatly missed. She will be remembered by the love and encouragement she shared with all and her lovely accent and smile. She truly lived a life well lived.

Corinne is survived by daughters Jackie Bryce (George) and Christine Grewcock (JT); granddaughter Julie Bennett (Tyler); great granddaughter Gracie Bennett; 1 sister and 5 brothers.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband John (2021) and two brothers and two sisters.

A private graveside service to celebrate Corinne’s life will be held on Friday, October 27, 2023 in Hendersonville, TN.
