Colleen Polk

Colleen Marie Polk, age 70, passed away on May 26, 2023 in Nashville, Tennessee.  She was born on August 24, 1952 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Kathy Jenkins and Harry L. Stewart.  Colleen is also preceded in death by sister, Kellye Stewart; and nephew, Eric Lovell.

Colleen is survived by her husband of 50 years, Jerry Polk; daughters, Stacey Bowers, Tracey Cook (Jeff), and Christy Polk; son, Drew Polk; grandchildren, Tyler, Landon, Brianna, Jaedyn, and Joseph; great-grandchild, Eli; siblings, Becky Stewart, Mike Evans, and Jennifer Hill; and special friend, Susan Huff.

Colleen was a member of Hendersonville Church of Christ.  She graduated from Antioch High School in 1970.  Colleen enjoyed crafting, creating jewelry, and tending to her plants.  Colleen loved visiting the beach, but the mountains were her favorite.  She loved animals and was known to help or take in any stray animal that may have wandered in her yard.  Colleen’s greatest joy came from taking care of and being with her family.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Hendersonville Funeral Home.  Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. with Brother Keith Parker officiating.  A one hour visitation will be held prior to the service at Hendersonville Funeral Home.
