PARHAM Jr., Cleon Bradley-age 91, passed away July 28, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 11, 1920 to Cleon and Nancy Parham in Guthrie, KY. He proudly served our country in WWII in the European Theatre of Operations as a Tech Corporal. Later in life he became a Senior Buyer for the Nashville Board of Education serving 15 years in that position. He was then transferred to Metro Senior Buyer with the State of Tennessee working in this position until his retirement. He was also a man of faith and served many years as a Deacon at Hendersonville Church of Christ. Cleon had many passions in life including deep sea fishing, world travel, gardening, and his dogs. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He was loved by all who knew him and will be deeply missed. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Nell Rhodes Parham; children, Peggy Parham Neal and Michael David Parham; grandchildren, Jennifer Coons Brian, Cliff Neal Michelle, Brandon Parham, and Ashlie Sloan Daniel; great-grandchildren, Cash Coons, Madelyn Coons, Cortland Neal, Neelie Sloan, and Madeleine Sloan; sister, Dorothy Legg Bill. A Life Celebration Service will be held on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Hendersonville Funeral Home with Dr. Rodney Cloud officiating. Interment will follow in Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
