Clarence Edward Hackney 83, passed away on Tuesday March 21, 2023, with his family by his side. Clarence was born on July 29, 1939, in Nashville, Tennessee to Clayton H. and Lizzie “Lee” (Harper) Hackney.
Clarence worked for Bill Crooks Food Town for 40 plus years retiring as Senior Vice President. Upon his retirement, he was the owner operator of Food Land in Goodlettsville. When Clarence wasn’t working, he could be found doing his favorite pastime fishing. Above all else, Clarence was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be greatly missed.
Clarence is preceded in death by his parents Clayton and Lizzie. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Patricia Hackney; son Eddy Hackney, Jr. (Timmy); daughters Nita Chisari (John), Becky Lamoureaux, and Christie Denson (Marty); grandchildren John Chisari (Tori), Neal Foster (Cara), Ethan Denson, Nash Denson (Maranda), Rivers Denson, and Chloe Lamoureaux; great-grandchildren Carleigh Chisari, Arya Chisari, Riley Foster, Elle Foster, Peter Foster, Travis Denson, Ryder Denson, Evie Denson, and Stella Hayes as well as his sister Brenda Tucker.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at Hendersonville Memory Gardens beginning at 11:00am.
