Mrs. Cindy Stanfill, 65, of Hendersonville, TN went to be with the lord on May 6, 2017. She was born to the Marvin and Doris Garner in Memphis, TN on November 17, 1951. Cindy is survived by her husband, Steve Stanfill; mother, Doris Garner; son, Jermey Cooke; daughter, Ashley Cooke; stepsons, Hank Stanfill, Jacob Stanfill, and Chance Stanfill; grandchildren, Hunter Stanfill, Bryce Stanfill, Jaden Cooke, Keegan Stanfill, Trip Coffman, Copeland Cooke, Charlie Morgan, Luke Stanfill. She is preceded in death by her father, Marvin Garner.
She was known as a fantastic teacher who inspired her students. She taught at Beech High School for 23 years and was a teacher for 32 years in total. Her family described her as a wonderful wife, mother and friend. Cindy had a smile that would light up the whole room. Her grandchildren were her life and she adored them with all of her heart. College Game Day was her favorite show and she was an avid Tennessee Volunteers fan. She loved going to the beach for vacation. She will be missed by all who were graced by her presence.
A Life Celebration service will be at Long Hollow Baptist Church on Tuesday, May 7, 2017 at 2pm. Visitation will be held at the church from 10am until the hour of service. Bro. Sam Landrith will be officiating the Life Celebration.
