Charles Ernest Konesky "Chuck", age 76 , of Hendersonville, TN, passed away on April 18, 2017. Preceded in death by his parents; Ernest and Mary (Wooley) Konesky, and sister, JoAnn Maslen.

Survived by his beloved wife, Judith, of 44 years, niece, Erica Maslen, nephew, Carl Maslen, brother-in-law, Neil Maslen, step-sister, Dolly (Jere) Anderson and children; Michelle, Denise, Michael along with their families, and step-brother, Greg Krayac (Juliann).
Chuck graduated from Boardman H.S. and Youngstown University, with a degree in business. He worked for Copperweld Steel and True Temper Corporation in Geneva, OH, and managed a plant in Portland, TN. Chuck joined Western Reserve Products in Youngstown, then became the V.P. of manufacturing in Gallatin. Chuck was a United States Air Force Reserve veteran.

Chuck loved Corvettes and owned many. He learned to sail on Lake Erie and spent many happy hours racing & cruising to different ports on Lake Erie. After moving to Tennessee, he joined Harbor Island Yacht Club and served a term as Commodore. He became an avid racer and won many awards. Chuck had a regatta named after him to honor his years of service at the club.

The mountains were very special to him and he loved to travel out west. A special place for Chuck was Salt Lake City where he lived for several years when his father was transferred. As a child, he learned to play the accordion and once even performed on television.
Chuck will be sadly missed by friends, family and his favorite lap cat, Rosie.

A Life Celebration service for Chuck will be held at Hendersonville Funeral Home on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at 3:00PM, officiated by Chaplain R. Gene Lovelace. Visitation will begin at 1:00PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Chuck's name can be made to the American Diabetes Association, www.diabetes.org or to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org.
