Christopher Alan Taylor, age 43, of Hendersonville passed away on January 31, 2017. Chris was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, friend, teacher, and coach. Chris was a devout follower of Jesus Christ. The evidence of his devotion was apparent to all who knew him and is described in scripture as the fruit of the Holy Spirit. Chris possessed love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Chris also had a gift for hilarity. He had an infectious smile and a sense of humor that was dry and sharp but never unkind. Until the very end, Chris embodied the peace that surpasses all understanding. His only concern was for his wife and three daughters.

He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Taylor, Jr., grandparents Kenneth Taylor, Herman and Harriet Parrish. He is survived by his wife, Trisha, his mother, Karen, his grandmother, Kathy, and his sister Carole Baker (Dale); daughters, Brette, Darby, and Tatum; niece, Sophia Baker; nephew, Isaac Baker; aunts, Judy Parrish, Linda Taylor Thorland (Rod); uncle, Milton E. Parrish (Carolyn); Cousins, Susan Ma (Chao), Kara Kindall (Johnny), Leslie Becker (Jim), Beverly Wallbrech (Ian), Jamie Smidt (Brian), Brian Parrish (Laurie), John Parrish (Heather), Jonathan Thorland (Kati), Joel Thorland and a host of extended family. He will be deeply missed by his Hendersonville High School family.

The family would like to thank the Hendersonville community, Hendersonville High School, Knox Doss at Drake's Creek Middle School, Ellis Middle School, Nannie Berry Elementary, First Baptist Church for their outpouring of love and support during these difficult days.

Services will be held Saturday, February 4th, at 1:00 pm at First Baptist Church in Hendersonville. Visitation is Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. and again Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
